International Peer Review of National Prevention Strategy, Georgia


During the COVID-19 pandemic, EU-ACT has managed to complete another activity in Georgia: International Peer Review of the National Prevention Strategy on Substance Abuse have been made by Professor, Dr. hab. Krzystof Ostaszewski, Researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology of Poland and Dr. Boguslawa Bukowska, Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Drug Prevention.

In addition, EU-ACT local team in Tbilisi also organised an interactive meeting between the experts from the European Union and the author of the document - Georgian expert, Professor Jana (Darejan) Javakhishvili. The purpose of the meeting was to go through the feedback and the report provided by the Polish experts. Furthermore, the team also discussed different aspects of the integrated approach in prevention science.

EU-ACT project funded by the European Commission and implemented by FIIAPP actively supports Drug Policy development in Georgia.  EU-ACT will further implement activities related to the development of evidence-based approaches in the field of substance abuse prevention in Georgia.
