Approval of Work plan on Intelligence-Led-Policing (ILP) implementation in Kyrgyzstan


Last 26 February 2019 the plan on Implementation of Intelligence-led-policing (ILP) for the Ministry of Interior, State Committee on National Security and the State Service on Financial Intelligence was approved and signed between these agencies and the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and the project “EU Action against Drugs and Organized crime (EU-ACT)” funded by the European Union Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace.   


Intelligence-led-policing is a modern model of proactive policing, based on profound analytical work, using various analytical methods, tools and instruments. In frames of ILP implementation in Kyrgyzstan, in 2019 the beneficiaries will receive series of related training activities and technical support in terms of software and hardware.

The Plan will be approved with participation of member of Kyrgyz Parliament, Government, Security Council and diplomatic corps

The project “EU Action against Drugs and Organized crime (EU-ACT)” is implemented from January 2017 to December 20120 and cover countries along the “Heroin Route”: Georgia, Ukraine, Tanzania, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Within three years of project implementation in Kyrgyzstan, activities will be implemented on training of law enforcement agencies on detection and investigation of drug crimes, improvement of international cooperation in countering transnational drug related crimes and assistance in conduction of joint interagency and international operative and investigative activities.
