EU-ACT Project - Georgian Regional Office, will organise a two-day workshop to agree the initial draft of the drugs strategy action plan covering 2019-2020, from 7th to 9th September at the Training Center of Justice in Kvareli.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) acts as Secretariat for the Inter-Agency Coordinating Council on Combatting Drugs Abuse. The Council is responsible for drafting drugs strategy and actions plans, the current action plan is due for renewal at the end of this year.
The purpose of the workshop is to bring all relevant representatives of different agencies of the Inter-Agency Coordinating Council to agree with the initial draft on the Drugs Strategy Action Plan for 2019-2020 and further elaborate adjustments.
This 2-day workshop involving internal departments/ministries will be followed by a one-day workshop that will allow Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and civic society to review the draft action plan and to agree on any amendments.
