ToT Curriculum for Drug Addiction Professionals, Morogoro, Tanzania

EU-ACT Regional Office in Tanzania, in conjunction with DCEA, delivered a training to develop a Curriculum for Drug Addiction Professionals from 27th of April to 1st of May 2021.

Due to the increase in heroin trafficking through Tanzania over recent years, there has been an increase in drug dependency. Therefore, during the week of 26th April the EU Action against Organized Crime Project in conjunction with the Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA) of Tanzania delivered training for 20 specialists involved in drug prevention work. During the 5 days, the specialists discussed their experience of implementing a curriculum on prevention developed by the Project in conjunction with the DCEA, which is designed to minimise the harm of drug use, in line with Tanzania's National Drug Policy. The EU-ACT Project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) in partnership with the Italian Carabinieri, Spanish Ministry of Interior and the UK National Crime Agency.
